A story to be found

on each ray of shimmering sound

Let us again listen to Sun

With ear pressed to shell

I go down her spiral well

and when I am quiet she comes

When I am so quiet

hidden like night

I see her come, I see her light

upon rainbows, upon grass, upon water clear

upon mountain tops, river beds

violets and ferns,

her stories do come,

her stories do turn

​

like crystalline wheels

the stories do fly!

through sky blue and sunbeam and star twinkling light

from rainbows a frolicking

and from tree whistle tops, from the deer running by,

from moon-shadow walks

​

The stories they come

the stories abound

in every single thing

they are to be found

​

but only the listener,

who loses his speech

who bows down in reverence

to all that is sweet

​

But only the listener

who carries few words

who walks like the moon

and waits for the birds

​

But only the listener

whose silence is still

can hear every word

the starry ones tell.
